Okay okay. Cerita bermula sebegini...

Ada sepasang suami isteri di sebuah pulau. Tiba-tiba si suami terfikir untuk pergi ke seberang pulau tersebut kerana ingin mencari sumber rezeki. Si suami berpesan kepada si isteri supaya menunggunya di pulau itu sehingga dia pulang tidak kira apa pun yang akan terjadi. Si isteri dengan rasa taat setianya, menunggu si suami seperti yang telah dijanjikan.

Setelah 2 tahun menunggu dan menanti, si isteri mula berasa resah dan gelisah. Risau akan keadaan suaminya. "Sihatkah dia? Bagaimana keadaannya? Hidup lagikah dia?". Persoalan sebegini semestinya terlintas kepada sesiapa pun yang sedang menanti. Pada suatu hari, si isteri terlihat seorang nelayan sedang berlalu pergi dari pulau tersebut. Dia memanggil nelayan itu dan meminta pertolongan supaya nelayan itu boleh membawanya ke seberang.

Sudah menjadi lumrah manusia. Jika ingin memberikan khidmat, pasti perlu ada bayarannya. Setidak-tidaknya, mendapat hadiah sebagai tukar ganti hasil tenaga yang dikeluarkan. Si isteri membuat keputusan untuk memberikan segala pakaian miliknya kepada si nelayan memandangkan dia ditinggalkan sehelai sepinggang oleh suaminya.

Setibanya dia di seberang pulau, dia dirogol oleh seorang lelaki yang tiada kewarasan yakni dia si gila. Keadaan si isteri yang berada dalam keadaan telanjang bulat berkemungkinan menjadi penyebab utama si isteri dirogol. Untuk melindungi dirinya, si isteri lalu menyembunyikan diri di dalam gereja. Sedang dia dalam ketakutan, dia bertemu dengan seorang paderi.

Melihat keadaannya yang sebegitu, si paderi menghalau si isteri kerana kononnya si isteri berada dalam keadaan 'kotor' untuk berada di dalam gereja dan orang ramai tidak boleh melihatnya dalam keadaan sebegitu rupa. Si isteri berlalu pergi apabila memikirkan kata-kata si paderi ada betulnya. Dalam beberapa ketika sedang asyik berjalan, si isteri lalu bertemu dgn si suami tercinta.

Si suami dengan rasa terkejut terus bertanya kepada si isteri, "apa kau buat dekat sini?" "aku mencari kau lah", jawab si isteri. Lantas si suami berkata, "bukankah aku menyuruh kau tunggu aku di pulau? bukankah kita sudah berjanji?" si suami membuat keputusan untuk meninggalkan si isteri atau dengan erti kata lain, menceraikan isterinya. Dia kemudian berlalu pergi.
